About the event
If someone is bleeding out, choking, or their heart stops, you have less than 90 seconds to successfully intervene. Are you ready if this happened to a loved one right now in front of you?
This course covers the following topics:
Part I: Basic CPR Certification
Learn basic understanding of compression only CPR, the science behind it, and what is happening to the body when breathing stops and the heart stops beating - so that you understand what you are doing and how it works. This portion of the course includes a CPR course completion certificate.
- Choking (adult and child/infant)
- Infant CPR
- Child CPR
- Adult CPR
Part II: Basic Level Stop The Bleed
Learn how to quickly identify the source of the injury, the severity level of the bleeding, and how to rapidly and effectively intervene to stop bleeding of any type of wound in different parts of the body. It is critically important that you carry the correct tourniquet at ALL TIMES after taking this course, so we provide the option to purchase CAT tourniquets or other kits at the time of the class. Participation certificate provided.
YOU WILL GET DIRTY. The simulated blood can stain clothing, and you will be practicing life-saving techniques which require you to be on the ground. Dress casually, and comfortably. This course is taught in Kreyol.

CPR & Stop the Bleed
Please arrive to the Oasis Hotel in PV by 08:00 am on Saturday, November 19th. Your class will be in the Henri Christoph room on the 4th floor of the hotel. Enjoy some coffee and snacks until class starts at 08:30 am sharp. Remember to wear casual, comfortable clothing that may get dirty.
