About the event

This 2-day course covers the following topics:

Part I: Basic CPR Certification

Learn basic understanding of compression only CPR, the science behind it, and what is happening to the body when breathing stops and the heart stops beating - so that you understand what you are doing and how it works. This portion of the course includes a CPR course completion certificate.

  • Choking (adult and child/infant)
  • Infant CPR
  • Child CPR
  • Adult CPR

Part II: Basic Level Stop The Bleed - CAT Tourniquet Included

Learn how to quickly identify the source of the injury, the severity level of the bleeding, and how to rapidly and effectively intervene to stop bleeding of any type of wound in different parts of the body. 1 CAT Tourniquet included. Completion certificate provided.

Part III: Command In Crisis

This class teaches the basics of scene safety, effective emergency communication, command presence, and patient packaging (safely preparing to move a victim).

Part IV: Simulation Training / Stress Test

Intensive scenario based simulation training to create muscle memory during realistic situations. Students will apply what they have learned in both physically and mentally challenging scenarios, which will require adaptation and critical thinking to "save the life" of the victim. The students will be exposed to simulated blood, loud noises, smoke, confined spaces, and other realistic simulations. Please wear comfortable clothing that will get dirty.
