While HALO FirstCare is not insurance, we are protecting you, your family or your employees from out-of-pocket expenses, such as deductibles and/or copays for emergency medical care such as hospitalization, x-ray, CT, emergency surgery, urgent care, and other services that may not be fully covered by your insurance policy, or unaffordable at the time of a crisis.
Network Hospitals
Valid and Current HALO FirstCare Membership cardholders have zero co-pay access to medical facilities throughout Haiti in the event of a sudden onset of life threatening illness or injury not associated with any chronic or pre-existing condition. Your HALO FirstCare Card is your VIP pass to emergency medical care in Haiti. Check out our list of Network Hospitals
Coverage Verification
When you present your card at a Network hospital, their admin will call HALO to verify your membership status and the medical intake information about your case. If you and the medical issue you present with are covered, you'll begin receiving care. If that hospital cannot manage your case, we'll help you find the nearest Network facility that can.
Activate Membership
If you purchased this membership at an authorized HALO FirstCare location, you will need to activate it 72 hours before it is valid for use. Give us a call and we will ask you a few questions to get your coverage started. If your employer issued you this card, you are likely already activated, and you may call us to verify your membership details.
Group Rate Emergency Care
HALO FirstCare is an emergency medical coverage for accidents or sudden illness, like workplace incidents or road accidents, broken bones or burns, unexpected illnesses like a virus, stroke, appendicitis, pregnancy complications, etc.

Add-On HALO MedFlight
HALO Med Flight Membership is a low cost way to access a regional medevac flight in case of a critical medical emergency which is not adequately managed within the Haitian medical system.
HALO MedFlight Memberships are not affected by foreign government security levels, and there is never a co-pay for a covered/authorized flight. HALO MedFlight Membership includes Regional International Medevac Coverage to the Dominican Republic, or Cuba.
